British Columbia is in the Pacific Time Zone in Canada, which is 8 hours behind Greenwich Mean Time (GMT-8).

Like most provinces in Canada, Daylight Saving Time is observed in British Columbia, where the time is shifted forward by 1 hour, resulting in a 7 hours difference behind Greenwich Mean time (GMT-7).

After the Summer months the time is shifted back by 1 hour resulting in the normal 8 hours difference behind GMT.

NB Some parts of British Columbia, east of the Rockies do not follow the official time zone but use Alberta time instead such as Fernie and Elko.
